Foundation Pit Reinforcement
The brief
Foundation pit reinforcement at Tsinamdzgvrishvili St. 113a, Tbilisi, commissioned by Hashtag Construction in 2020. The project added another address to ERTI's growing portfolio of foundation pit works across Tbilisi's residential construction sector.
The challenge
The Tsinamdzgvrishvili St. site sits within a built-up residential neighbourhood, with the usual urban constraints of adjacent buildings, underground utilities, and a dense street pattern. Tight perimeter control was required throughout the excavation to maintain stability of neighbouring structures.
Our approach
ERTI installed a continuous steel sheet pile perimeter around the foundation pit using the press-in method, providing the required lateral earth retention and groundwater control. The vibration-free methodology protected the surrounding residential buildings throughout the programme.
