Foundation Pit Reinforcement
The brief
Foundation pit reinforcement at Sarajishvili St. 29, Tbilisi, commissioned by Megobrobas in 2019. The project continued ERTI's expansion across Tbilisi's residential construction market, demonstrating the company's capacity to serve diverse client organisations throughout the city.
The challenge
Sarajishvili St. sits in a built-up urban area requiring careful management of the excavation perimeter to avoid disrupting the adjacent properties and utilities. Ground conditions and existing infrastructure on the boundary required precise sheet pile installation.
Our approach
ERTI installed a continuous steel sheet pile perimeter wall using the press-in method, achieving the required lateral earth retention and groundwater control without vibration impact on the surrounding neighbourhood. The foundation pit was safely excavated to the design depth.
