Foundation Pit Reinforcement
The brief
Foundation pit reinforcement commissioned by Domus Development at Paliashvili St. 114, Tbilisi — deep within the Vake residential district. The project required transporting a Giken Silent Piler through central Tbilisi under a Ministry of Internal Affairs oversized cargo permit, reflecting the logistical complexity of mobilising large specialised equipment to dense urban construction sites.
The challenge
Moving the Giken Silent Piler — an 18-metre, 35-tonne machine — to the site required advance coordination with the Tbilisi Patrol Police Department, which issued a dedicated oversized-cargo transport authorisation specifying approved routes, speed limits, and permitted time windows.
Our approach
ERTI coordinated all permitting logistics with the Ministry of Internal Affairs before equipment mobilisation, obtaining official route authorisation. Once on-site, the Giken press-in piler installed a continuous steel sheet pile perimeter achieving zero vibration impact throughout the programme.
